I’m looking for ideas how to block my pass thru from kitchen to dining room to keep cats from jumping thru it but still keep the light coming thru it.
Oh, my house had that! It was to serve food from the kitchen to the dining room. When we extended the kitchen shelves we lost the cabinet in the dining room. But I kept the doors and had very narrow shelves built. The little cabinet that was the "pass through" we turned into a medicine cabinet.
I still have one and I love it. When I clean up messes in the family room, I pass the dirty dishes through the window into the kitchen so I don't risk spilling anything on the carpet from carrying them through the living room. The pass-through window was one of many things that sold me on buying this house.
