Best way to remove paint?

Found a great patio table at a yard sale. Glass top metal legs. What product will easily remove all the layers of old paint from the legs, so this table can have the great legs it use to have.

A picture would help. You could try sanding, using a wire brush attachment for a drill, or paint stripper.

A chemical stripper would work well on items with lots of detail...Choose one that works well on metal.... just be aware that it can cause pitting if the metal is aluminum.

Oh if your looking for easy or free like most things on this site just leave it outside for another 20 yrs. Other than that there’s probably a thousand products in a thousand stores that could handle it.

It isn't hard to do, but it does take some time, here are several links with methods:

Try a heat gun. In my limited experience it takes paint off anything

A citrus stripper is good when you don’t know what kind of paint has been used. It may take two applications to get through all the layers. Follow that with a hand sander or hand sanding, You still may not have perfectly smooth metal legs. Paint the metal base, legs and screws the same color, one that you will enjoy seeing through the glass. Just being a clean black or white will be a refreshing change, but don’t be afraid to go with your favorite color, or one that goes with your brick.
And, just to make sure you know, the old, multi-layered pain look is in fashion now. If you decide to go that way, use a chisel and hammer to knock big chips out of the paint, and heavy grit sandpaper for larger area and smoother scrapes. Use a light grit over the entire surface just to get any peeling paint or rust off. Then give the legs a couple of coats of outdoor polyurethane. Just another option for you. And polish the glass beautifully! ☺️
