Hello. I would put a big mirror in the center of the wall. You can put a floral arrangement on the counter. You can also purchase a towel holder that can sit on the counter.

I would paint the cabinets, and then look for products that are made to refinish counter tops. Several are out there, one that comes to mind is Rust-Oleum.

There's not a lot to do with changing a vanity top like that, so I would look at updating the surroundings: A new faucet would make a huge difference. A matching hand towel rack or 2. A new light fixture. Stripping and staining the cabinets. I'm so tired of the walnut and oak finishes. An extreme change would be the grey and black stains and these are not near as difficult as trying to paint the vanity.

Since the area looks as if it is in good shape and easy to care for, I'd leave the counter as is and focus on upgrading the faucet and framing the mirror, if there is one right above the vanity. Then stain or paint the vanity in either a neutral or go crazy and paint it your favorite color that will coordinate with your bedroom area. The counter top looks like it is neutral enough to go with whatever you choose for refinishing the cabinet. Good Luck......

Agree with Janice that the counter top and integrated sink look like they are in good condition. For many people, having this much counter space and an easy-clean sink in their bathroom would be a dream come true. You are lucky to have it. Do not do anything to change it.

Agree also with everyone who has said that the area needs mirrors, color, and adequate hardware for hanging up hand towels. You can greatly update the look of this very bland looking bathroom by installing new LED light fixtures, mirrors, and a new faucet.

I would place wallpaper just behind the sink to add a focal point, then add a large mirror sconce lighting, add large silk flower arrangement, add a large scale facet and new door hardware and the transformation is complete 📌

i would redo the counter top ( stonecoatcountertops.com ) and give the room fresh paint. Paint the cabinets! Lowe’s has great cabinet paint ! Good luck with your project!

Wish I had this much space. Small bathroom with pedestal sink - that's all.
