How to best clean a 4 year old toilet that is already stained?

Try The Works toilet bowl cleaner made by HomeCare Labs. I can usually find it at a Big Lots. If that does not do it, try a fine pumice stone like you would use to remove calluses from your feet.

Have you tried a pumice stone? They work well on hard water stains, they may help. Also, are the brown stains rust if so, I used to use this when we had well water. It is safe for septic systems.

I have used steradent false teeth cleaning tablets just break up 2 tablets and leave over night may need to repeat this has been done many times and comes up as new

I was going to recommend a pumice stone as well, but see I was beat to the punch! I know they work very well usually if you’re willing to put the elbow grease into scrubbing the heck out of a toilet! I’m assuming you already tried Ajax cleansure? I am curious what made the blue stain that’s so hard to remove though? That’s a new one on me with toilets? Good luck, hope you get the stain out

I agree, a pumice stone. I've also heard of denture cleaning tablets and pouring in a can of Coke and leaving it sit overnight

Its more likely the sealed finish has been worn off. If so a pomace stone might make it worse. Denture tablets may help and you could also leave oxyclean sit in it over night. Bleach might work too.

Thanks everyone! The blue stains are actually from the Lysol toilet bowl cleaner.....we had used for years on older toilets with no problems but left stains on new toilet. We will try denture tablets first!
