Custom Painted Wine Glasses

Let's turn plain old champagne saucers into beautiful, festive DIY custom wine glasses that do double duty as place cards and party favors for your guests to take home!

You can do this with any kind of wine glass, so feel free to mix and match thrifted glasses for a fun tablescape.

Clean the bottom of the glass base with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils and residues.
Start by writing a name on top of the glass base with permanent marker.

Flip the glass over, and paint the name on the bottom, using the marker as a guide. Use a thin round brush to paint the name with black acrylic multi surface paint.

Leave the glass upside to dry while you work on the next one.
Use a flat brush and a few colors of paint in the same family to add little dots all over the bottom of the base. You’re going to paint right over the name, which feels counterintuitive, but it’ll look great at the end!

Leave them upside down to dry, and then when they’re completely dry, flip the glasses back over and use rubbing alcohol to wipe the marker from the names off the top of the base.
