How to get cooking stoves grates looking like new?

I think I’ve tried everything I’ve put them into gallon Ziploc bags with an overnight with ammonia no luck I try scrubbing with Brillo no luck
I tried putting them in the dishwasher on high heat and taking them out at the end and scrubbing them no luck
looking forward to suggestions

Spray them with oven cleaner and wash after about 8 hours. I do mine with the oven overnight.

sprinkle with baking soda let sit over night.it really absorbs the greese.
i don’t let them get real dirty, and I put them in the dish washer and use hot water with detergent. Works great!
I use orange glow cleaner for about everything on my stove. The I use a green scouring pad to clean after the orange glo sets for a few minutes.
I don't let the get that dirty. Clean each time you cook and its easy. I also put them in the oven when I do the self cleaning along with the burner tops
