How do you clean the vents on a microwave oven?

the Vents have a grease build up. I tried using a toothbrush with different cleaners but It didn’t help

    hmm that should have worked-did you use an actual degreaser? Degreaser should do the trick. Many brands available at Home Depot or Amazon. I have used Awesome degreaser and it has worked well.

    Take the vent out and soak it in hot soapy water with just about any degreaser...I do mine about once a month using Dawn dish washing liquid and give it a light going over with an old toothbrush. Rinse well and let it drip dry before replacing it.

    I use vinegar in a shallow dish - put in microwave and heat a minute, then wipe off the walls, etc. with paper towels or wash cloth. Be careful with the dish of vinegar; it will be hot!

    OOPs, you said microwave...my method is for a range hood vent. SORRY ABOUT THAT.

    I use Dollar Tree Awesome Orange in the spray bottle and a toothbrush to clean both the microwave and oven vents. If its super greasy for some reason get the Awesome Degreaser.
