Making an area rug non-slip

I remember a post about making an area rug non-slip or non-skid, either with a glue gun or a silicone gun. Anyone remember this or any suggestions? It’s for my bathroom and even the rug pad I bought doesn’t help. It entailed applying glue or silicone to the back of the rug with a gun
