How to repair marble sink stopper area?

Our marble countertops/sinks in the bathroom are getting small lines coming out from the stopper area. Is there a way to repair this?

Are there cracks radiating from the stopper area?
I've seen this a lot. It is a common occurrence in cultured marble sinks. You could use a paint kit designed for painting sinks, but it is cheaper, easier, and longer lasting to replace.
Not cheap but I found a kit that claims to repair chips and cracks in stone. There may be others as well. Only you can decide if its a worthwhile solution.
