I found this amazing chair at a local thrift store for $40.00. It just had to come home.
I sat the chair in the bedroom and just thought it needed it's own little nook.
I had a little black, folding tray table sitting in the closet. I sanded it.
Our trusty sander. Remember when you are sanding to wear a mask and safety goggles.
I stained it using red mahogany. It matched the warm tones of the chair.
I found this tote bag at Dollar Tree, cut it apart, and used regular white glue to cover the top of the table. My husband stapled the edges underneath for me. I then sprayed the top with spray Modge Podge. You could use brush on or just mix white glue and water to seal it.
What to do on the ends? I had some rope so why not? I used hot glue and wrapped the rope on both ends.
Here is the table with a lamp I found at a tag sale. I put fairy lights inside it instead of wiring it. I love the shape and color of the fixture. It was originally gold but I sprayed it black.
Here are the chair and table together. I made a little pillow out of another tote bag. Cut it open, sewed it with my sewing machine and stuffed it.
I know this is dark but I wanted you to see it with the light on.
