I have heard that toothpaste, buffed on with a clean rag, and then buffed off will clean them.

I did my daughters car. Used a White (not gel) toothpaste and a damp cloth. A dab of toothpaste on the cloth and rub in a circular motion a small area at a time. Keep the toothpaste moist. A separate wet cloth squeezing water as you rub. Wipe as you go along to see the progress. Once done put some paste wax over the lenses.

I used white Magic Eraser Sponge, and Dollar General 3.00 headlight cleaner in the blue label. It did the best I could find on my owen. I totally dislike them cheap plastic head lights. I find them to be dangerous from lack of vision at night. I wish we had the old glass back or a customers choice.

The easiest & most common way is to buy a headlight restoration kit. These vary in quality and price. The cheapest ones can be around $15.
