You can cover the glass. Using a glue gun you can glue fabric over it or you can glue cardboard or foam board and paint it.

The easiest way to get rid of mirrors is to tape them up good and the carefully break them off of the wall. There may be damage left behind on the sheetrock behind them but that can be filled, sanded and repainted.

If you can't remove them, then treat them like regular wall space and decorate by hanging photos, word art, art panels, decals, etc. You can use Command strips for glass to hang them. I think having glass as a background could be an awesome background for select pieces.

That you don't like? is that your question? Since you say you bought the apt I am assuming there is no landlord. If you are just renting you would need to talk with landlord and make sure you can remove, see if landlord knows what they were put up with and maybe he/she might have idea if they approve to remove. If I am all wrong...could you finish you question and we can start over! Thanks

You can paint over them. Use painters tape and make stripes of mirror and paint. Use a foam roller so you don't have brush strokes.

Here's the coolest method I've seen, I would still tape the heck out of it before prying off, and wear heavy long-sleeved shirt and pants just in case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_ckqmdqGYY

The mirrors belong to the landlord/owner. You cannot remove them. IF you do anything to the mirrors, you will have to make sure you can restore them to the original way they were when you moved in. You will lose your deposit if you don't have permission to do anything to them.

Yes it did. You do NOT own the mirrors. One of the suggestions, with U-tube video, was removing them. If you do something to them and do not put them back into the original condition when you move, you can be held liable for the cost of replacement mirrors. Yes, you can paint them, etc. but you will have to remove the paint and restore them to the original condition when you move. I do not understand people who think that because they are renting, they automatically have the right to do whatever they want with other people's property.
