I was so tired of having a carpet in my bedroom so one day I just ripped it off and I have been living for almost a year with out nothing, just with the sub floor. My hubby works as an industrial Electrician and always is telling me how much pallets and shipping crates those companies put in the trash. So I asked him to bring home some shipping crates and this is what I made....

These are the stack able shipping crates, made from pure pine!!
We used a floor underlay from Lowes
Nailed it !!
I sanded this floor with a rental sander and belt sander from Home Depot
I mixed two stains to match the rest of my home floors.
Looking good...
Getting ready for the next step ...polyurethane!!
I thought it was gonna look too shiny at the end but thankfully not because I dont like that
First coat dried and then we added another coat. And another coat!


And here is the final product, I think it looks great! I am so happy with how it came out- and that I used recycled materials!
Suggested materials:
  • Nails, floor underlayment, Minwax Wood Finish , minwax polyurethane for floors.   (Lowes)
  • Floors sander, belt sander, circular saw, miter saw, sand paper 80, 100 & 120 grind
