How to Remove Wallpaper
You can get a handheld tool called a wallpaper shark at most home stores. Run that all over the wall paper, then spray with a mixture of fabric softener and water, once its saturated the wallpaper should scrape right off.
Start with a paint tray filled with hot water. Purchase a roller with a handle, and a large putty knife. Roll the roller in the tray, pull back away from water. Take the handled roller and start at the bottow of the wall. Do 1/3 , at a time. When the paper is wet, scrape with putty knife, the paper will come off. Next, scrub the paste off the wall with a large sponge and warm water, after all the paper is done.
One other thought is about the wallpaper itself. I took down several rooms of wallpaper that we had installed ourselves, but it was called "strippable wallpaper" back in the 70's or 80's. It stripped right off. This type of wallpaper was definitely thicker than paper wallpaper. My thought is to check first before you start. You might get lucky. Wishing you the best.
