How to clean smooth top stove?

I was toasting a marshmallow over the eye and it dripped. I have tried scraping, baking powder, and recommended cleaner to no avail

Have you tried just a wet rag left on it overnight? Obviously, lock the stove burners first. Add a bit of vinegar if you like, but could be strong smell in the morning.

Then a bit of BarKeepers Friend, dampened and gently rubbing in a circular motion.

    Hi Judy,

Spray the burnt marshmallow with a glass cleaner, I find Zep is the best and let sit for a few minutes, then scrub with a Mr Clean Magic eraser. This should take it off easily. Then clean the rest of your glass top with the cleaner and Voila! As good as new!

Hi Judy. Have you tried a magic eraser? I have had a lot of luck using those on my stove top.

you can put baking soda on it and wet a couple kitchen towels with hot water and some dish soap, lay towels on stovetop until they cool off and scrub away ! You can also try Weimar for glass top stoves. I get mine at Marc’s for $4

If you try all of the cleaning solutions and nothing works, you can use a single edge razorblade to gently scrape it off. I've had to do this a few times. It works and it's never left a scratch on my cooktop. Just be sure to use a brand new blade, hold it at an angle and don't apply a lot of force.
