I can’t pull it off. I don’t know if I should put it in the washer. TIA.

  • Do not put it in the washer...The goo off the tape could get all over the inside of your washing machine. I would try either freezing it, or soaking it in soapy water.

First try warm heat (not hot) from a hair dryer to see if it loosens and whether the glue remains on the sheet or on the tape.

Hello. Typically a mix of Dawn dish detergent and white vinegar will remove any sticky glue residue that is on a picture or item from the store. So, it stands to reason that you might want to soak the duck tape area in a solution of warm water and Dawn dish detergent and white vinegar. After about 20 or 30 minutes, try pulling off the dock tape. Repeat as necessary to remove the stickiness. Good luck!

Hi Donna. You could try to heat it up a little with a blow dryer. That would loosen the sticky adhesive.

You could try a cooking oil spray.. in a pump sprayer.... lift the edge of the tape and start spraying on the sticky part of the tape.... and slowly work it off... then treat the oil stain on the flannel... with Dawn dish soap or a laundry spray and wash. ... just don't dry in the dryer until you are sure the stain is all out.... Goo Gone... would work too.

Pull of as much of the tape as possible, then spray the remaining glue, etc with WD-40 on the area to soften the glue, rub this in well and then hand wash the area using Dawn soap. You may need to repeat. Be sure it's all removed before laundering as usual. Another option is hair spray if you have it but not the WD-40.

GooGone should remove the tape and residue.

NO, don't put in laundry til you get tape off. Try soaking sheet where tape is on backside under tape with 91% alcohol, if that fails to soften tape glue, try fingernail polish remover or laquer thinner. After you get tape & residue off sheet, then launder.
