First clean everything out then paint your walls & trim. Measure your space and decide the size of the shelves. Install brackets to hold the shelves making sure they are on a stud, then fit & attach the shelves to the brackets. Paint, stain and/or seal the shelves before attaching to the brackets. Wishing you the best.

Yes, you should do this. Did you have a question or are you looking for someone to do the job?

Here's a bunch of clever ideas. Get your work clothes on!

Don't do anything that is permanent, if and when you want to sell, you need a closet for the bedroom to be considered a bedroom. It has to have a closet and window.

just add batons on both sides of cabinet and place suitable sized timber shelf in place. repeat as often as required.

That seems easy enough. Removing the doors painting white and adding some time to the front edges of shelving built with 1x and supports seems like the best plan.

I would keep the doors in case you change your mind.
