Is it possible to make your own colored glass jars to use as a candle?

I would like to use the clear 'ball' canning jars with some colour as lighting on my outdoor patio.

hi donna, you can spray the outside of the jars with sea glass spray from any craft store! Fill them with sand or rocks and put tall candles in them! The ones pictured below are just bottles from pat catans! And I put the wax catcher on for when they are lit but on a ball mason jar I don’t think the hot wax would be an issue in the thicker glass! I have also painted my mason jars with acrylic paint! Good luck and have dun!
