    wash them in white vinegar

  • Chances are they are absorbing cooking odors. Try wiping all drawers with a cloth doused in white vinegar periodically.

Soak the towels in a small mixture of bleach and water and add a few tablespoons of baking soda this will eliminate the smell. Thereafter, place your towels in plastic bags after they are dried and seal them this should keep out future odors.

Vinegar will do a good job at getting through and removing the odor

Wash them in your normal way but add about 1/2 cup of the liquid type of dishwasher detergent. i put my potholders in also. They come out looking and smelling brand new and none of the colors are harmed.
