How to install a double rail, for a closet barn door?

My bedroom closet had sliding doors, which always came off the track. I want to cover the closet opening and would like to install a barn door. Unfortunately the space next to the closet, has the entry door on one side. The other side has a wall maybe 2 foot wide. I have a chest in front of that wall. Next to it is the bathroom wall. Any suggestions?

I had two mirrored sliding doors,my husband removed the sliding ‘rails’ turned the mirrors towards inside closet then hung the doors. So when opening doors i could see my front and back side...and on the reversed side of mirror he put bead board and just matched the other small area around my new closet doors....came out beautiful....just an idea for you...

That does help. My does are the inexpensive hollow wood doors and they don't always stay on the track. I though if I could figure out somehow to attach them to the outside of the frame this would solve my issue. Thank you for the information.
