Pink & Houndstooth Vintage Chair Makeover {Roadside Rescue}

This chair was a pretty big deal for me - it was my first ever roadside find. Of course there was a downfall to it - the back legs were chopped off and of course,that green upholstery had to go.
This was the chair when I found it. It looks fine from the front, but the back two feet had been chopped off. Here's how it looks now >>> http://rainonatinroof.com/2014/04/vintage-chair-makeover/

    How do you do the buttons on the back? What are they called and where do I buy them? I have 2 chairs simpler and want to do them blue and white. Thanks Victoria Anderson Tesch
