How can I finish this awful tiny bathroom?

If you're allowed, I would stencil those tile floors.

Get a lightweight white curtain -- and ditch the battenburg valance/roman shade (which do not go together anyway.)

I also have a small bathroom... and bought these from Amazon: IRIS Mado 3-Shelf Slim Open Wood Shelving Unit, Light Brown (or you can get dark color --- or paint black!) ...and then mDesign Household Wire Storage Organizer Bin Basket with Built-In Handles for Kitchen Cabinets, Pantry, Closets, Bedrooms, Bathrooms - Deep, Pack of 3, Satin. (If you ever move... you can take with you!)

...with these two items you could ditch the toilet paper holder (put tp in one of the baskets) and gain quite a lot of storage for items like those wipes, shampoo, etc. (Be sure to measure your space!)

Since it sounds like you can paint... do a soft, light color and then a white stencil design... instead of hanging small things on the wall. (Don't forget to use your Michaels or Hobby Lobby discount coupons for the stencil!) Stencils can make a room fresh and appear larger -- b/c they don't visually crowd the room.

1. Put a stall shower curtain over the glass door. Use the same one for over the toilet on an extension rod wall to wall at the ceiling and swag to one side. (One shown sold at Wayfair)
2. Use battery operated lights and put one next to the toilet and one on the wall adjacent to the mirror. (One shown sold at Target)
3. Not sure what the white moulding on the wall is for, but plug the holes with wooden plugs (sold at any hardware store) and hang two mirrors from and one mirror above in between the two. (One shown is sold at Hobby Lobby for under $20 USD)
4. Use removeable contact paper on the cabinet and mirror frame. (One shown is sold at Amazon called Blackwood)
5. On the mirror wall use peelable wallpaper. (One shown is sold at Joss & Main)
6. Finish with a nice bath rug.

The suggestions will diminish the wall color and countertop color and add interest with items that are easily removed. Good luck.

paint is the best solution....start with the floor, vanity and then the walls

Get a Mimi Blind.. in the color you paint wall. Paint the shower wall top and side a little darker than the rest of BR. Remove everything from sink area. Clean vanity and medical cabinet, get some shelves that come already made under the sink.

You might find a small table with drewers. Clean floor tile cleaner. I hope this will work for you. Good luck. 🍀

Just paint it dark grey, everything else will pop and paint the vanity white.

Don’t paint the flpot! It’s a nice neutral color and it’s a pain in the butt! Plus kitty will be all over it- you know cats! I got shelving-peel and stick at the dollar store and did my kitchen walls! It comes off easily when you need it to! Easy to apply, water proof and very inexpensive! Definitely put a window sticker to let light in but give privac. This is what I did to my dark bathroom. And paint anything your allowed to in a cheery fav color! If you can get some shelves or a small dresser for storage that helps and you can paint it a complementary color to cheer up you space. I love shower curtains but in your bathroom it would make the space feel even smaller! Good luck and show pics when your done!

I would take all the pictures and hangers off the wall. Paint the walls. Hang a short sheer curtain on the window over the stool or just a plain roller shade. Basket with extra TP is fine. Is there room for a small chest of drawers on the right side of your vanity? You need more storage so look for a space or place for things you use every day. Maybe even a basket or bin of some kind. If you have things that you do not use every day find another room using a bin that is portable for moving those items around. OR You could get a behind the door hook for robes or a fabric door shoe holder with the pockets to put your small lotions, make up and etc. in. Then a pretty rug in front of the sink and will look nice.....If room a small matching rug in front of the stool.

As always, prep is everything. First, take everything movable out of the space. Patch any nails holes, sand. Wash your walls with a sponge mop and light detergent and remove any cobwebs before you paint. Whenever I try to skip this I find I have dust on the walls and sneaky cobwebs in the corners. Covering your toilet with a large garbage bag (slip it over your tank and as far down as possible) will make painting that back wall so much easier. Protect the floor, it seems to be in good shape. Shower seems ok to me. Decide on your color palette. I use lighter colors in small spaces and recently had good luck with cream walls (more like a white kissed with yellow) and pale turquoise accents (for me, that was vessel sink, towels, soap dispenser, art). If there are wall stains, use a primer, like Kilz, if not, just go with a good paint with primer in your chosen color. I would also paint the vanity (prime first with one for glossy and hard to paint surfaces) and wall mirror frame with a glossy white (although you may prefer satin) which will go nicely with your white toilet and wall trim. I apply polyurethane next, to help preserve the paint.) If you think a feature wall is worth the cutting in, by all means select another color (you will also use this color when selecting your towels and art). For the window, I'm not a fan of curtains so I use a mini-blind, white of course. Above the window how about a metal shelf in chrome to hold extra towels, rolled up with neat ends facing out. For more storage, maybe a couple glass shelves with chrome posts on the wall adjacent the vanity (they are in the bath fixture dept in big box stores). Shop your house for wall art to match your colors or find a new treasure. Step back and see what you think! It's be a big change without costing too much, which is what I would want for a rental.
