Is it possible to dye carpeting with fabric spray?

i used fabric spray from Joann fabric and in a few weeks it was wearing off ! I used it on a footrest and a wood chair that had removable pads for indoor! I did it for my daughter who loved it when it was done and hated it within a few weeks because it was getting in their clothes! Needless to say I won’t use fabric paint again! Tho you may have better luck

Ive heard that dying carpet could cause the dye to come off on your feet for a long time depending on the type of carpet. I’d ask a specialist at the hardware store

no, I bought like 8 cans of the fabric spray in a coastal blue and it was very disappointing when my daughter called and said the color was coming off !

Probably possible but I dont think I would recommend doing so.
