What is the best time to start planting flowers here in Boston MA. ?

    Plant after the last frost of the season. Around here usually late April. Ask at your local home store or garden center for further info regarding specific plants - some require warmer temps than others. Good luck! 🌱🐇

    I usually wait until the soil is about fifty degrees down at least an inch.

    You will need to wait at least a few weeks after the last expected frost date.rule of thumb used to be mothers day....no longer

    Last spring frost for Boston is about April 24. Don't plant any tender plants before then. Hardy perennials, you can push it a little, but I like to put plants outside a few days, bringing them in at night, to harden off a bit until I plant. If you purchased them from an outdoor nursery spot, they're usually okay to put in your garden right away.
