I have ants, not the kind that are married to my uncles, but those little creepy crawlers! It’s that time again, spring has sprung and my ants have hatched. So far they are located only in my bathroom. I really don’t want to use poison, I have a dog and 3 year old grandson who is over all the time. Suggestions???? It’s not unusual for our house, but early, they started about 4 weeks ago. Anything new I can try?
exterminator is always on speed dial for them but I’d like to wait until I’m sure we won’t have more snow, because he usually attacks them from outside of our home
I know I’m not the only housecwith them, seems to be talk of the town lately.

Get some cornmeal and some good sized bottle tops and pour the cornmeal in them and scatter them about. Also follow them to see where they are coming in and plug up all the holes with either spray foam or caulk for small spots. They will take the cornmeal back home, eat it, and die. Be patient, they won’t disappear overnight.

Here's what PETA recommends; Use natural ant repellents. ... A cinnamon stick, coffee grinds, chili pepper, paprika, cloves, or dried peppermint leaves near the openings will repel ants. You can also squeeze the juice of a lemon at the entry spot and leave the peel there.

If you can locate the point of entry, lay a bay leaf or two at the site. This repels the ants.

    Hi Stormy!

UGH! This question brought back the nightmare of having ants in my bathroom a few years ago! I couldn't imagine why they were even in there! There was no good food for them to nibble on. I tried ever single homemade recipe to get rid of them and they didn't even care, they just stayed and I think they invited guests.

The only thing I have found that really works and keeps them away for ever was Terro Liquid ant baits! They're small and compact and they fit just about anywhere you need to put them. You can buy them in any hardware store. I know this will work!
