Depends on the surface of your furniture. What do you have? Wood? Metal? Plastic?

what kind of furniture, plastic or wood? Go to Lowe’s and they can answer most questions also.
Chalk paint will stick to just about everything.
Do not use house paint, wall paint. Use spray paint or unicorn spit or chalk type paint. House paint will not dry properly
