Laundry room organization and storage with Wall Control metal pegboard.

We used a Wall Control Laundry Value Kit to organize the laundry room. This room is very tiny making it a good candidate for wall hung storage and organization.

Take a look at the video to see how it came together. And, yes, it probably only took 20 minutes or so to install the metal pegboard!

Before

We ordered their laundry room kit along with a few other accessories like the plastic tip-out bin at the top of the picture. That holds dryer lint in one space as well as Shout Color Catcher sheets in one of the others.

One of the things we really like about Wall Control is the care they take in the packaging of their parts.

Everything is individually bagged or in a bag that has individual compartments. This means nothing has the opportunity to get scratched.

For your convenience, there are links to the products we use in our projects from Amazon as well as The Home Depot, Wall Control. (Mother Daughter Projects is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and links to Amazon.)

If you don't know or use Shout Color Catchers, here's a very short post about them.

We started by finding the studs with a magnetic stud finder and marking them. Ideally, the panels should be installed into studs. If this is not possible, wall anchors, which are included as well as screws, are used.

Once everything is level and marked, everything is screwed into the wall.

The last panel is installed. The laundry kit panels can be installed in any configuration as long as the slots remain vertical.

All the pegs and shelving in place! The items on the horizontal panel tuck nicely behind the door. All the laundry needs are accessible directly across from the washer/dryer.

As you can see, the space is tight, but there's just enough room to easily access everything. The hanger rack makes it very convenient to hang things fresh out of the dryer.

We have been so pleased with the Wall Control system. We like the look, the variety of pegs and shelving and the ease of the install.

We have pegboard panels in Steph's garage, but that is strictly utilitarian, not something we'd have inside either of our homes. This is a pegboard system that you'll be happy to have in your home!

Where would you put Wall Control? What about the color? There are lots of colors to choose from.

Is your washer and dryer just stacked on top of each other to save space? I think that is a great idea if the druer does not put too much weight on the washer. Also, could you use one of the bottom drawers that you can purchase to go with your washer/dryer under the washer?

The sheetrock on your walls is nailed into the studs. The stud finder works by locating those nails. That's how it finds the studs. It doesn't actually located the wood stud itself, just the nails that are in the stud. Hope that makes sense. ~Vicki
