How do I add concrete or paving?

I have a narrow dirt patch on my porch which is meant to be a flower bed, I suppose. It is about 1 1/2 feet wide and about 10-20 feet long (I haven't measured it) . However, there is very little sunlight in the area because of the angle my house sits, so everything planted doesn't last, plus I don't have a green thumb and want something low maintenance. How do I add concrete (having no experience in doing so) to this area or some other type of solid paving that will allow me to place patio furniture/patio decorations and be level with the existing concrete porch to be rid of the uneven dirt patch? I have attached a Google image of my home and a sketch of what the porch looks like for reference. The area is to the right of the door under the 2 larger windows.

I'd extend the porch then put big planters on it.

You could use hostas in the planter area, they really don't need much sun at all. I took out some horrible shrubs that were next to my house, between the house and side walk. I didn't go the pea gravel and sand part due to budget restraints with all we were doing in the front yard. We are beginning our third year with it only being weed cloth and the pavers and have had no shifting or sinking or anything. Just make sure the soil is well packed and at the level you need so that the pavers reach the rest of the porch. We butted the pavers up to each other, so we don't have to use sand or anything between them. Good luck with your project!

Liriope or lily turf would also be a great, low maintenance planting solution.

Thank you, I'm trying to steer away from planting since we like to sit out on the porch and don't want to worry about scooting our chairs too far back against the house and crushing whatever is there or sinking in to the dirt. I appreciate your suggestion. :)
