Laminate flooring

Once again I need advice! Had laminate flooring installed 2 weeks ago in my kitchen. Last night I realized there was about 8 oz of water sitting on the floor for about 2 hours. I wiped it up but do you think water damage has occurred? Also, what is the best way to keep this type of floor clean?

It sounds like no damage was done, if there is swelling- then it probably has. To clean, avoid mopping with water, apply a cleaner right to the surface and wipe clean,

I have laminate flooring and use Bona and a microfiber mop.

Unless it's the bottom of the barrel ultra cheap kind; laminate now-a-days does carry some water-resistance ease of mind. As the above people have said, DON'T wet mop, spray and wipe for cleaning (think of a cardboard box left in the rain - that's the old laminate floors). I had laminate in my living room and it survived over 10 years of 2 60+ dogs, furniture moving around, teenage boy & his friends. It also lasted through my 1 dogs incontinence at the end of her life.
