What to do with tulips?

Flowers were growing from the bulbs placed in a vase, with water. Lots of roots growing. Have other bulbs growing in a dirt basket. These were get well gifts for my daughter who just had cancer surgery and we would love to save them and plant, but I have never worked with bulb flowers before. Any advice on what to do ,and how, would be appreciated.

This article is not encouraging if you have bulbs that have been forced in plain water, as have yours. I'd plant them outside about 4" deep without damaging any of the foliage and hope for the best.
Let them flower and dye back (the goodness goes back into the bulb for next year) Then plant up again in fresh soil in Autumn time to flower again next year.........
plant them in the ground with the foliage on them after the danger of frost has past
Hi Carol. I would put the one in water in the pot with the ones in the dirt. Then you can plant them in the ground about 6" deep. I purchase ones for Spring decor in the house and plant them as soon as the ground thaws, or you can wait until fall. Here is a link with more info. I wish you luck!
