What's the best way to keep my tub and sinks running smoothly?

I would like to use something like vinegar, baking soda and hot water, but don't know what quantities to pour in the drain

No need to measure....just pour soda and vinegar, some use salt too. Let it sit for awhile and pour hot water down drains.
Put a pot of boiling water down drain, add a half cup of baking soda and then a cup of vinegar & a cup of hot water. Cover the drain to let it work for 20 minutes, then pour another pot of boiling water down the drain.
I have boxes of baking soda in each of my refrigerators and freezers. Every month when I replace them, I pour them in the sinks and bathtub drains and toilets. Let it sit a bit then pour a cup of vinegar in each drain then follow with water.
For the bathroom sinks, showers/tubs, First you have to clean the hair out of the drains. There is a plastic strip with barbs on it that is made to pull the hair out, the barbs grab the hair, use this until there is no more hair coming out. Use a quarter to a half cup of baking soda, I usually use about a quarter cup, and put it down the drain. I usually put about a cup of vinegar down the drain and wait at least ten minutes or until it quits fizzing. I then put about a gallon of boiling water down the drain to rinse it all down the drain. For other sinks, like in the kitchen, you omit the hair removal. I put about a quarter cup of baking soda down both sides of the sink if you have a double sink, followed by the cup of vinegar, wait, then the gallon of boiling water. This should help you keep the sinks clear. If you put a lot of gunky stuff down the sink, make sure you run plenty of hot water after doing that. You can decide how often you need to do this, but I don't think it needs to be done weekly unless your bathroom drains clog up real quickly. This also cleans and disinfects your pipes and drains due to the vinegar soak.
I use about 1/2 cup of baking soda, 1/4 cup of white vinegar poured down the drain. I wait about 30 minutes and pour a few pans of boiling water down the drain. I do mine once a month, it also helps keeps drains smelling fresh.
