How tall and privacy from what? Ground level or neighbors with a second floor? And what is your plant zone?

We we have a patio that provides little privacy that looks out onto our street. We put up lattice along our chain link fence, and grow items like pumpkins or cucumbers and encourage the vines to grow on the lattice. Other vines that come back year after year are clematis and honeysuckle. Morning Glories are an annual, but easily reseeds itself. Shrubs are another type of plant that grows well and in many different varieties.

Do some research online and see what plants grow well in your area or visit a local greenhouse. They should only stock and sell plants suited for your region. People there are passionate about what grows best in your area. Head in now and ask questions before they get super busy!
