All depends on where you live, what zone you’re in, what type soil you have. Need more details. If you’re in zone 7 like me and want native plants that don’t require lots of water, purple coneflower are good, so are sunflowers, especially maximillion , bee balm, old fashioned petunias, Shasta daisy...... really the list is almost limitless. You might visit a local nursery and find out what’s sold in your area.

petunias, geraniums,vincas,zinnias,rose moss, most flowers are sun loving , morning sun is the best side of the house to plant on. (East side)

I don't know what part of the country you are in but bouganvillea plants love the sun.
