plant outside after the danger of frost has past.

Let the leaves die off naturally, do not cut them down. That is where the bulb gets it's nourishment. You can plant them at anytime or overwinter in a pot, making sure they do get cold, as they need the cold to flower next year.

After they are done blooming, feed them bone meal and let them continue to be watered and keep the leaves growing etc. This builds the strength of the bulbs for the next year. Then after they are done and leaves are brown, set them in dark, dry place until fall. Plant them in your flower garden in early fall.

Leave them in the pot until the leaves die back & turn brown. (Water them spaingly once the tulip blooms fall off). Let them dry out late summer and then in the Fall plant them where you want them to go in your garden - roots end down- for next spring!
