Any suggestions for avoiding weedwacking the plastic lattice edging?

I have that plastic lattice around the bottom of my shed and don't want to weedwack it weekly. I also do't want to have an entire stone border around it.

How about some mulch?
Use weed killer.
lay heavy landscape fabric around the area and mulch it
How about spraying with vinegar or pouring boiling water in the area. Easy!
Use a grass killing spray and eliminate the grass immediately under the lattice. If you opposed to using chemicals, put down a narrow strip of clear plastic to kill off the grass. Once it is cleaned off, keep it out by pulling p anything that grows up in that area.
