How to Make A Fabulous Headboard, made from a Deconstructed Armoire that I found on the side of the road and How to Paint Velvet Upholstery!

I found an old Armoire on the side of the road and brought it home. I took it apart and used the doors and moulding for the main piece. I had to fight with my Dad, to get him to help me...Click on the video to hear the whole dramatic story.

Above is the full video on the story and step-by-step instructions. For more detailed instructions, photos and a list of products used for this project, please be sure to follow the link to our blog below.

I assembled the doors and moulding together. Here's a look at the doors reassembled together to start forming the headboard.

I used Hey Sailor DIY Paint and Queen Bee DIY Paint. It is clay and chalk based paint with no VOC and only 9 ingredients.

I painted the velvet on this headboard that I found at the swap meet to give it a fresh look. Here's a close up of this piece. I also have another video with more details on how to paint upholstery and velvet. See the link at the end of this post.

In this project I show you how to add beautiful details with our Golden Ticket DIY Paint.

The finished look!
