Saved from the trash! Beautiful stained glass panels--what do I do?

A local convenience store was renovating and I managed to score FOUR of these salvaged stained glass panels -- (they were already outside and ready for the trash when I asked to have them). They measure 20" X 24". So... what do I do with them? I was thinking maybe framing and making false windows? Any help from the creative folks who love Hometalk.com (as I do!) sincerely appreciated! :)
Glass panels are opaque but translucent. They currently only have thin metal casings for frames.

Wow what a find. The first thing that comes to mind is to put hooks on the top and hang them in a window. Or weld piano hinges and make it a folding fire screen. Insert them in a door, so you have a top window.

You could mount them on the wall in a frame a little deeper than the window and put little lights behind them to show off the stained glass.

  • Other than what has been suggested, I can't think of anything, but so glad you rescued them! Beautiful pieces. 👍

If there is a way to attach them to make like a square, then possibly put a glass top on it, and solar candles on the inside of the square. Would make a nice side table.

I would frame them and hang them in front of windows and let the daylight/sunshine show them off. They are beautiful and a great save.

I'd add a frame, led lights & hang them up.

All great suggestions, I would consider making coffee/end tables with them with LED lights underneath to show them off. I would also add a second clear glass top to protect them.

Just gorgeous, what a great find you have!

Depending on your house and what kind of use or window space you have, that would determine what to create and do with them. All above are terrific suggestions, just base it on where and what would be the best enhancement to your home.

Attach the whole piece with Gorilla glue to a bathroom, kitchen, or guest room window or mirror as an artistic touch. ☺️

place them together to form a planter box out of them for a focal point in a corner with a tall fake tree inside and add a spot light behind it.
