How do I make a stepping stone walking path?

quick crete is what i have used. i lined a pop flat with a plastic bag to put the mold in then filled it with the quick crete let it set out of the sun to cure.

cats...gotta get the nails trimmed....once the cement is cured i placed them in position and used a knife to cut the sod off in the same shape as the stepping stone(s) and planted the stones. that made them easier to mow over.

Level the ground. Use concrete mix ( 2 x Sand and 3 x Cement)

Start by leveling the ground inside your frame, pack the soil down and use a 3, ft level. Rent one at Homedepot or Lowe's for a small fee. You can rent for half day or the whole day.

You can also add pigment if you don't like the drab grey color.

cement can cure to quickly and crack- it did with the 1st, 2nd batch i made many moons ago. it had been out in full sun. since i've done them in the shade it didn't happen.

u can use pavers so I don't see why not. It would be very important to make sure the ground was perfectly level, more than for a sidewalk.

the top seamed to get dryer than the rest of the block and cracked on top.

if the cement mix gets too dry it can crumble. iowa can get temps in the summer in the 100 110 range. Couple yrs back it hit 115 degree f. With 80 % humidity.

yes my I pad is possessed. If they dry to quickly I’ve had them crack....
