How do I remove green moss from a north facing sidewalk.

North exposure does not get enough sun shine to kill it.

Sprinkle roofs, decks, furniture, and walkways generously with baking soda. Next, even out the coverage with a broom or brush. Let it stand for a few days, or until moss turns golden and starts to flake away. Scrub or scrape off moss and rinse away excess soda and you’re done until next year. This is effective with getting rid of the mold/pollen buildup as well.

Have you tried bleach? Maybe followed by boiling water a few days later.

Hi Mary. If you have access to a pressure washer I would do that. Otherwise mix a bucket of water with bleach 50/50. Pour a little on the concrete and use a push broom to scrub the concrete. Good Luck!
