Hoses break for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes its the heat, in other cases, like mine, it might be someone ran it over with in the lawn mower. In any case, hoses are not recyclable, so what’s a green girl to do? Well make it into a upcycled garden hose wreath, of course.
After you get your materials together, get your hose ready. You can either use the whole thing or just a piece. Start with a loop the size you want (If it’s a heavy duty hose, you can wrap a piece of wire so it stays put) and then just keep looping until you have the size of wreath you want.

Once you have your wires wrapped around to hold the wreath in the shape you want, wrap burlap around the hose. Glue it in several spots to make sure it holds. Also use something like a pipe cleaner or zip tie to hold the glue while it dries.
Wrap a looped wire around the middle of the top part to use a hanger.
Then add your butterflies, flowers and other greenery as you see fit.
Once the glue is dry, take off the zip ties and you’ve got yourself an upcycled hose wreath!
