I want to make a memorial for my MOM in my yard

Place your rocks in a mound in such a way that you can top it off with a patio block as a foundation to sit the angel on. It may take some trial and error to properly level the top block, but gardening and garden art pretty much are trial and error. Put some soil in crevices and plant sedum.

Set aside a small little area in your yard, make a little "mosaic" out of different colored pebbles, place the statue, and plant your Mom's favorite flowers. Sorry for your loss.

So sorry for the loss of your mother. You are wise to do this in your yard. I placed a solar light angel at my mothers grave and the cemetery committee changed rules, placed a huge ugly sign ($700) in the cemetery that had new rules and solar lights were prohibited so somebody removed her light (she loved and believed in angels), along with lots of the Walmart lights but left some and I was livid. It did no good and the light was never returned to me...I assume someone has it! All that said....Section off the area you want and use your beautiful solar angel for her memory. My husband did a metal border (also rock or plastic borders) that he hammered in ground for edging. He added landscape fabric after removing grass and leveling the area for me for flower garden. He filled with some great soil, then dug holes that he inserted cheap plastic pots like the plants are in when you purchase. You can cover the rest with mulch, rock, brick chips if you like or just leave as is. Then find flowers that your mom loved and plant in your pots. It would be beautiful..if you have an area large enough.. place a small bench in her memorial garden or near so you can go to your special place and remember! Could also have a birdbath inside and garden flag...just a special special place for you and her! Good Luck!

We have an angel in our yard. She is on a concrete base (about the size of a large paver). I have solar spotlights aimed at her, so you can see her at night. Seasonal plantings go around her and I have a small concrete bench next to her - a peaceful place to sit. I have also had an arbor over her in the past, but, removed it when it was damaged.

Sorry for your loss, how about some lavender in the back and some pansies and violets in the front and on sides
