What colors should I paint my new cabinets and concrete countertops?

After Hurricane Harvey took everything ... I'm having to redo my entire house. I just got shaker cabinets so I'm trying to decide... what color to paint them? I want concrete countertops so do I leave it gray? And what color sink? I want grays and maybe a turquoise backsplash but I'm trying to make sure all the colors look good together?

Can't go wrong with white cabinets especially with a grey concrete countertop! White is always bright and breezy. I love the grey cement counters! a pop of color onthe back splash could be gorgeous

I’m sorry to hear about your loss, but you are still here to tell a story and rebuild.🤗

Do you have someone already to do the concrete? They should have samples and photos to show you color options, even different grays. Then you can decide on paint and backsplash to coordinate with the counters. Have you done the floors yet? That is another big area to consider.

L👀king forward to hearing from you!

That’s good! Did you get to mess with color/tint for the countertop? How many shades of gray, right?

      Keep me posted 😄!

We moved into our house a year ago and redid the kitchen right away. We have very light gray on the cabinets with white trim. Counter tops have a lot of different shades of gray. Back splash is gray/white/chrome. I love my new kitchen and highly recommend this color combination.

yw Get paint chips and play with combinations. When you can narrow down the choices, try the actual paints from samples. Maybe vary the greys like tone on tone, with a black sink and teal backsplash?

You could go with a white cabinet, or if your kitchen is large and has plenty of light, go with a dark grey. You could keep your counters a light grey and put a little sparkle in it. You could spice the kitchen up with a multicolor or red accents on a neutral field tile backsplash. I think a stainless steel sink with stainless steel appliances would fit right in with those colors. Get brushed nickel knobs and pulls, faucets and light fixtures. Go with a multi tone grey tile for the floor. Good luck with your new home.

White cabinets with either white (if your kitchen is small) or dark grey (if you have a large kitchen) counter tops look great especially if you want to do a turquoise backsplash. Look at this site, it’s concrete counter top stains, they’ve got allot of pictures for ideas.

Oh also if you go white countertops I’d under mount a stainless steel sink. If you go grey I’d try to get them to undermout a matching sink.

Make yourself a colour mood board : Cut a piece from a magazine or fabric scrap and see how the colours you choose go together. When you are happy go along to get your paint and take the board with you.
