Mole Not used to be available in hardware stores and it worked.
This worked for me: Put a rag saturated with household ammonia in a Ziploc bag, seal the top and cut a corner off and then insert into the entrance of any holes you see. The smell is strong and it permeates the air in the tunnels and they scatter.
we wait until they are working and dig them up. From behind so they can’t back up . Then dispose of them.
If you have a dog or cat, (I know this sounds a bit gross), put your pet's waste into the gopher hole. They will move away soon. And they won't come up that same hole.
You HAVE to get rid of their food source: grubs! We use Spectracide. Read the label as there are specific times and ways to apply.
Gophers - If you or if you know anyone who has snakes, keep the skin when they shed and place a good long piece in each in hole. They won't be back. Tried and true!

Those vibrating stakes have worked for me. I got the solar ones so you don't have to check batteries.
