Colored denim....denim with bleach spots or mono-color tie-dye or even use bleach rather than dye....a few pockets? Like the cute back ones with cool buttons and embroidery? Great place to stash tissues or some potpourri or the morning paper....
This project made quite an impression on me; or maybe I should say filled me with INSPIRATION! A quilter’s driving force and worst enemy (if you’re in a fancy fabric store with a goodwill budget lol).
Many thanks for sharing this with the world 🙏🏻

Not sure where you are getting your information from to conclude that 'quilts have prominence in the USA than in the UK.'
One of the joys of crafting is to create what brings you happiness.
Different strokes for different folks, irregardless of where on the map you are.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
How do you recommend washing this quilt? I’ve got a full size rag quilt made with flannel and it is heavy.... I’m sure a full size denim material weighs even more. Is it to heavy to wash in a regular front load washer?
I am confused. Is each piece 4 layers thick i.e. 2 pc each of denim and sheet alternated?
I now understand how you layered the sheets inside. I have a lot of flannel and wonder about a denim top, two layers of flannel (one of which also serves as the back) or one or two layers of flannel with a sheet backing. Any thoughts ? I’m thinking maybe 1 layer of flannel with a sheet backing ?
