While visiting a well-known home decor store I observed a lovely succulent/candle centerpiece. I loved the centerpiece, however, I was not prepared to pay the asking price. Being fairly craft, I was sure that I could make my own for a nano-fraction of the store's price. So after a trip to Dollar Tree and accoutrements in hand, I was ready to put my masterpiece together.
Getting all of my materials together was an undertaking. Faux succulents, candle, rocks, foam, reindeer moss, and a plate were the primary items.
After covering the foam ring with tacky glue, it was time to tack on the reindeer moss. This was to ensure that the foam could not be seen.
The faux succulents were placed close together giving it a realistic look. Using small white pebbles, I made a nest for the candle bringing contrast and additional loveliness to the piece.
I present to you my genuine, knockoff, succulent centerpiece. I think it is rather nice and it cost a mere fraction of what the retail store was asking. The candle has a lovely fragrance and my creation has the sweet smell of success.
