I love the fresh, crunchy taste that sprouts give to salads and sandwiches.

Lots of different kinds of seeds can be sprouted and eaten. Some favorites are alfalfa, radish, broccoli, and lentils.

Although you can buy special containers to grow your own sprouts, all you really need is a clean jar and some cheesecloth.

@Amber Martin WadsworthTillman Hi, Amber, I order mine from amazon, or sometimes purchase from a health food store. I live in a smaller town, so amazon is easiest for me. Larger markets such as Whole Foods, etc., have them, too. Get food safe, not just seeds for planting. I don't use a particular brand, just whatever is available. You can use tons of different kinds of seeds- alfalfa, broccoli, radish, mung bean are just a few. They have different sprout times, so use same sprout times together in the same jar. Alfalfa seeds are the fastest and easiest and probably most common....might be the best place to start! :)
