I have a queen size air mattress, very comfy and handy when the grand kids sleep over. By morning, it has deflated a lot, I know is leaking

Most automotive fluids that claim to work in repairing flat tires will work but please don't use them such as fix a flat etc.. The reason you MUST NOT use them if someone suggests , is those fluids actually will rob the oxygen from the should another leak occur, not to mention at fluid is highly flammable. Incredibly dangerous so perhaps ask a pool expert on the subject. They may have something that will work more safely. As always ask your professional about the safety of the fumes once cured .

WHAAAT! Tire sealants are temporary fix for flat tires. Just a rubber sealant in a can. Gets you safely going to get the tire properly repaired. It's the propellant that is flammable not the sealant. The synthetic liquid rubber has no affect on oxygen.

I dont know how you would possibly patch the mattress from the inside but when my queen size leaked, my son pumped it up, took it outside, folded it in half from one side to the other and pinpointed the leak with a marker. A bicycle patch was purchased at Wal-Mart. The mattress is still being used. Note: Don' throw old air mattress away. Split them open and use as a covering for outdoor furniture, use to cover windshield from snow and ice, protectant for young plants in harsh weather. Many, many uses.

Go with Sueturner97. Most air mattresses come with a small repair kit should a leak occur. They are patches similar to bicycle patches. A lot of people put the kit away in some drawer and never can find it when they do need it.

It is for tires but look at the ingredients. It is not safe to breathe for indoor use. And yes the propellant...we are talking about an inflated air mattress not a tire. I mentioned it because we had friends who used it for an air matress and became ill.

I agree with Sue also. An outer patch would be optimum. The lady wanted a patch from the inside which is why I could only suggest a pool expert who may know of something to do the job. I was simply trying to help by suggesting the only solution could think of per her request. If someone knows how to fix it from the inside safely, I would be thrilled to learn how.

You can only patch easily from the outside.

I faced the same issue once. Bubbles were forming on the top of my air mattress and after a lot of time and effort, I discovered it was leaking from the inside. I gently tore off the soft top layer and patched the leak with some glue and fixed the air mattress bubble.
