These easy, DIY paint dipped Easter eggs are sure to get you in the mood for spring. Watch Mikki from in this tutorial to see how it’s done!
Supplies:
  • 3 paint colors: Razzle Dazzle, Calliope, Opening Act (these colors are only available in-store at your local Country Chic Paint retailer)
  • Eggs, real blown eggs or plastic primed eggs
  • Skewers
  • Small plastic cup or container
  • Very small plastic top, tops from cosmetics work well
  • Drill and small bit or Dremmel and small bit
For plastic eggs, drill a small hole in the bottom of the egg and put on a skewer — this needs to be a tight fit. If you’re using real eggs, blow out the contents, let drain completely, and place on skewer.

In three plastic cups mix 2/3 Glaze, 1/3 Paint and a dash of water to thin it out a little. You can use any three colors you like, but it’s best to pick colors that will look nice together and won’t blend to create brown.
In a container just a bit bigger and deeper than your egg, pour about ½ inch of Clear Glaze then alternate layers of your paint colors. You want the paint to fill the container to just about the depth of your egg.
Take one of your eggs and dip it into the container, swirl and pull out. Stick the skewer into the Oasis to drip and dry.
Repeat till the colors become too combined.
Alternate method:

Make up your paint in cups as before but do not add water and have a cup of Clear Glaze.

In the tiny lid or cup pour your paint / glaze mixture in using alternating colors. Fill 3/4 full with layers of paint.

Now place the egg point down into the top and hold tightly and flip over right side up ( as if the egg had a hat on) and place the skewer into the Oasis.
Hold the top on the egg for a couple seconds and then lift the top off of the egg and watch the paint run down the egg.

You may want to take the skewer out and twirl the paint around on the egg to distribute the colors.

After these dry overnight you will want to coat them with Tough Coat or Clear Coat to really bring out the beautiful colors with a satin sheen. To do this, pour about half a cup of TC or CC into the cup and dip and swirl the Tough Coat till the egg is covered, remove and let some of the excess drip back into your cup then place into the Oasis again to dry.

Use on the skewers in Spring plants or twist off the skewers for baskets and hiding.
