What's changed in your landscape? Are they now in complete shade? Has the ph of the soil changed? Is it less moist in their growing area?
If they're in complete shade, thin out what's making the shade so they can get some sunlight. Send a sample of your soil to your agricultural department to be analyzed and up the moisture. Good luck.
Hydrangea: How to Plant, Grow, and Care for Hydrangea Shrubs | The ...
This happened to me and the 2 prior years they were absolutely covered with blooms. I had to recondition the soil- dug out around them and added fresh potting soil, hydrangea food and worm castings. Covered back up , munched with peat moss and voila'...blooms again. Lesson learned: soil has to be fed, as it loses nutritional value. Not an expert; just sharing what works for me.
I would like to know this, too! Mine are about 8 years old, they bloomed profusely for about 4 years then stopped blooming after I trimmed them back. They are beautiful shrubs, but they don't bloom. Do you think there is some kind of disease? I've seen so many others on this site with the same problem! I decided last year to tear them out if they don't bloom this year.
Hi,
Here is 2 links that will explain why your hydrangeas won't flower. I actually learned so much from them as I was having problems with my hydrangeas also! Hope this helps!

How are you pruning your Hydrangeas?
If you are pruning them after the buds have formed in the spring, no blooms will appear, sorry. Best time to prune is in the winter.
Another problem could be your soil is deficient, you may need to fertilize.
If you have them in a shaded area they are competing with the trees for moisture and this could cause them to not bloom. They love the sun and need enough exposure to it.
Hope this helps you.
