Need an inventive door for my new linen closet

we are building a new pole barn house and it is in the process of being dry walled as I write this. everyone and I do mean everyone over looked a large linen closet door in the master bath. there is no room for any type of swing door and I do not like accordion doors. this is very modern so I do not think a curtain will look right???

    Hi Patricia,

How about a modern barn door? Below are just a few examples

depending how your walls are, your other choice would of been a pocket door. But if the framing already done and their sheet rocking it’s a little late now to put one in without removing a part of your wall and rebuilding it to fit a pocket door hardware! From what your describing though, really sounds like a pocket door would be just the ticket for your problem! Good luck

Hi Patricia. I have used a curtain instead of a door, and it look just fine. I made it match with my window curtains. Another thought is there room to put in a pocket door that slides into the wall? I wish you luck!

      Hi Amanda,

Thank you, we have pocket doors throughout the rest of the home but there is no room for one here, unfortunately.

      May resort to the curtian

Yes - love the look in the pictures of the modern barn door. - If you have wall room where it slides when it's open.

I do love those but that will not fit. I feel like I may be stuck with something I will not like ugh

Although it's late, I'd have a pocket door installed now. The cost while workmen are still there will be less than the dissatisfaction you'll have for years to come.....

yes that was the original plan but wall got moved and now it has 8" on either side of a 38" opening. The opening is odd size and the wall space is not there either! I truly think I am stuck!
